Guesthouse Serenita

Guesthouse Serenità is located in a separate building at the rear of this 3 acre property and comprises 32 square metres internally. It is accessed via the private driveway and there is space to park in front of the large covered patio (9 x 4m = 36 square metres) at the private entrance to the guesthouse. The large covered patio offers plenty of shade with a table and chairs catering for 6 people to dine al fresco as well as a hammock and hanging Balinese chair. You will also find the ping pong table here. Situated at the far end of the building is a separate pizza oven room.

You enter the guesthouse studio into the main living area containing the fully equipped kitchen to the right, which is fitted with stove, oven, coffee maker, sink, full sized refrigerator with freezer and everything you need to prepare delicious meals for your group. To the left you will find a comfortable lounge area complete with lounge chair, bean bags, TV, DVD player and a selection of books, DVD movies, CD’s and board games.

Behind the living area you will find yourself in the sleeping area, with one queen bed and a set of 2 single bunk beds. At the back of the studio, there is a large private bathroom (accessed via a sliding door) containing a large shower, toilet, bidet, bathroom vanity with sink and lots of room for storage, including a clothes hanging rack with hangers. This room is also equipped with a washing machine, iron and ironing board for your convenience.

To the side of the guesthouse you will find a private relaxation area nestled under lovely olive trees complete with hammock, outdoor furniture and your own outdoor shower.

The guesthouse front bifold doors allow you to leave the studio open during the day to fill it with fresh air and make it and the adjoining covered patio feel like one very large living space. There are 2 large screened windows on either side of the main sleeping area of the guesthouse and another large screened window in the separate bathroom. Given that the guesthouse is nestled amongst olive trees and backs onto a private forest, it is usually a very ambient and comfortable temperature, plus offers complete peace and privacy. Portable fans are available, as well as a bug zapper. We recommend that you keep the front door closed between dusk and dawn to avoid insects joining you inside.

A highlight of the property and favourite for guests is the large private outdoor pool area comprising of the 6 x 4 m pool (at least 1 metre deep) and adjacent relaxation area complete with comfortable outdoor furniture set under the shade of large olive trees, hammock, hanging Balinese chair, sunbeds, outdoor shower and a covered outdoor kitchen complete with barbecue  where you can grill your favourite Apulian speciality foods and enjoy them al fresco with your family and friends. The pool and relaxation areas are for the exclusive use of guests of Trullo Serenità Retreat (includes Trullo Serenità for 2 and Guesthouse Serenità for 4). The property is complete with ping pong table, badminton and many other outdoor and indoor games for the more active guests.

All bed linen, bath towels and Turkish hammam towels (thin beach towels that can double as a sarong) are provided as well as hand soap, shower gel and other toiletries.

Free Wifi is available throughout the property including inside the guesthouse, on the adjoining covered patio and in the private outdoor pool and relaxation area. Mobile phone reception is very limited due to the property’s location in the countryside.

We are close to all the villages of the Valle d'Itria and surrounding area including Ostuni, Alberobello, Cisternino, Locorotondo, Ceglie Messapica, Grottaglie, Carovigno, etc. We are only a one hour drive from Lecce and surrounding beaches and towns such as Otranto, Porto Cesareo and Torre Lapillo. It is only about a 30 minute drive to beaches such as Santa Sabina and Torre Canne. It is also possible to visit Monopoli and Polignano a Mare from the property, within about a 1 hour drive.
